But despite being young and a student, I already have a breath-taking personal encounter. I am certain sure that I will carry the experience with me till the end of my days: Going to the beach for the first time! Though I was eleven years old, the memories of my first day at the beach are still very fresh in my mind. I remember vividly my mother coming home one evening after work telling me that we were going on a summer vacation in Miami Beach. I couldnà ¢Ã¢â€š ¬t sleep days before going to the beach. Just imagining how fun and beautiful it was going to be, the blue color of the sea, feeling the sea sand with feet and hearing the water waves and the seagulls. It was going to me the best summer vacation ever.Before living we took a picture, just by lo oking at the picture someone would apparently the happiness and the anxiety depicted on our faces. I had packed my beach ball and swimming costumes; I was ready for the beach experience! We passed big cities with tall gigantic buildings full of lights and multiple crowds of people passing through the streetsCITATION Mar141 \l 1033 (Maribel , 2011). We also passed through the small towns, and I thought to myself that they should make an effort and migrate to the big cities. Being summer, the weather at the beach was sunny and windy. It was perfect time o be on the beach. The wind was blowing from west to east. The sight of the sea water was breathtaking, it was deep blue with no sight of any seaweed. At a glance, I could see people in swimming gear while enjoying the cool sweet sea breeze, the nearby coconut trees obeying the direction of the wind. Surfers would wait for the bigger tides to rise, they would scream with joy as they performed acrobatic exercises, their acrobatic moves would astonish everyone on the beach. Anxious, my heart throbbing faster with excitement, I changed into my swimming costumes ready to swim in the ocean for the first time. The fine, sensitive beach sand touched my bare foot weakening me while the heavy sound waves crushing with the land made me nervous. I hesitated and took a deep breath, looked around and saw how excited people were when they entered the sea water. Courageously I dodged towards the sea water; it kept getting deeper and closer to an incoming sea wave. I moved towards it and stood still and closed my eyes as it got nearer, the force of the wave pushed be back submerging me into cool sea water. I emerged from the water, relieved since the seawater had cooled off my warm body. I started swimming again, this time round deeper into the sea. I swam further until I couldnà ¢Ã¢â€š ¬t touch the sea sand with my foot. Reaching the next wave, I would feel the thrusting effect of the wave, twisting and pulling my body bac kward.
